Jordan Diggs

RS Junior

Safety

6'0" 210 lbs.

Fort Myers, FL

Recruitment:

Diggs was ranked as the 27th best safety in the 2012 class and 59th ranked overall player in Florida.

College Career:

Diggs had a brief showing in his freshman year, when he appeared in two early-season games before being sidelined by a left calf strain. In his redshirt freshman year, Diggs managed to stay healthy, appearing in all 13 games as a reserve defensive-back.

Last year Diggs made two starts at the spur position, which is a hybrid defensive back/linebacker position in the Gamecock defense.

2015 Outlook:

Diggs is expected to start at the spur in the 2015 opener. Diggs has the ability to play either the spur, or pure safety and linebacker, making him a very interesting professional prospect should he have a breakout year with increased snaps.

Trivia:

Diggs fielded a whopping 25 offers in total coming out of high school. How many other SEC schools were in pursuit of Diggs?
