College Career

A transfer from North Greenville, Paulk enrolled at South Carolina in 2014 and participated in spring practice that year. After an impressive spring, he was redshirted, as, per NCAA rules on college transfers, he was ineligible to play for the Gamecocks for one year.

Prior to transferring, Paulk played two seasons for North Greenvile. In 2013 he appeared in nine games and logged 32 carries for 120 yards. 2012 saw him play in nine games, take 161 carries for 748 yards, and an additional 34 yards on nine catches.

2015 Outlook

While Brandon WildsDavid Williams, and Shon Carson are projected to be the core of the Gamecocks running game this year, Paulk adds much needed depth and versatility to the backfield.

Trivia

It's fairly common knowledge that Darius Paulk's brother, Rodney, suited up for the Gamecocks from 2006-2011. The third brother Paulk, Leonard, was a talented football player as well. What university did Leonard attend and play football at?
