Recruitment:

Matrick Belton walked on at South Carolina prior to last season. He was tentatively choosing between USC and Wofford as transfer destinations.

College Career:

Belton attended Hampton University through his freshman and sophomore seasons, seeing limited action in his freshman year while seeing none at all in his sophomore year. As a walk-on receiver prior to last year, Belton was deemed ineligible for last season by the NCAA, but was granted a redshirt because of the transfer. Belton will be entering his first season with the Gamecock football team in 2015.

2015 Outlook:

Belton looks to sneak in to the offense courtesy of an exceptionally thin receiving corps. While he's likely not going to see a lot of action, Belton has the physical attributes to blossom into a legitimate option in the passing game. I'd expect Belton to be experimented with some by the coaching staff as the season goes on, trying to find a role to best utilize him.
