With the summer months upon us, decisions are looming and lists are being pared by student athletes looking to play college football. One position that the South Carolina Gamecocks are looking to solidify in the 2016 recruiting cycle is the offensive line, with the team currently carrying three seniors and three redshirt juniors up front. There are some big names out there, so here's where we'll keep track of what's going on as far as OL recruits are concerned. Bookmark this page: we'll update it as needed.

Where We Stand
--7/14/2015: Commitment from Will Putnam.
I am proud to officially announce that I am committed to the University of South Carolina Go Gamecocks! #wecocky pic.twitter.com/z39U3sRLia

Also, an offer extended to JUCO OL Ashton Julious.

--6/30/15: Stephen Spanellis is off the board as he has committed to Virginia.

--One decision that we know of will be made the week of June 29: Georgia product Chandler Tuitt will choose between five schools, USC being one of them, sometime in the next few days on Twitter following one final visit. Tuitt claims that he has "never had a leader" during the process.
--John Simpson, who is still very much in the running to commit to USC, has indicated in the past that he would likely decide shortly before he returns to school, a timetable that's still on track.
--Decision time is close for Will Putnam. He cam very close to a verbal to USC earlier this month, but will weigh his options before making the final call. At this point, he might be the Gamecocks' to lose.
#STRecruiting: OL Will Putnam plans to visit USC July 13th or that week, final visit before decision between Gamecocks and Virginia Tech.

The same is true for Pete Leota from Asheville, who also had USC and VT in his top two as of June 14.
Also 2016 OL Pete Leota said he had a current top 2 of SCarolina & Virginia Tech. Would like to make decision before start of season.

--It's down to Kentucky, Lousiville and USC for Kash Daniel, who has indicated that his decision will come on July 4. However, the thinking is that the Gamecocks are out of the running for his services.
Everyone who reads this is invited. July 4th at 1:00 pm at the Paintsville High School gym. I'll be making my decision. #BBN #WeCocky #L1C4

--Along with Daniel, Putnam and Simpson, Akeem Cooperwood is a name to keep an eye on. The JUCO OL was supposed to be at USC a few weeks back but will stop by in July instead.
#STRecruiting OL Akeem Cooperwood did not make it to USC Saturday. He said Shawn Elliott wants him to camp in July.

--A fairly recent name that has popped up is that of Lloyd Cushenberry, who, after the Gamecocks offered on June 22, is now weighing a total of fourteen offers. He's still a few months off from his choice. Meanwhile, big-time OL Landon Dickerson has USC in his top four but won't decide for a while.
--Cutting down his list: Florida's Marcus Tatum, who has the Gamecocks in his top eight. He'll choose before he returns to school in a few months.
