Yeah, I saw that.

Though, Southern Miss. had their chance to win, and blew it. Can’t blame the officials too much. In other news, Troy won their game handedly a few days ago, so that’s cool.

Yeah, USM actually dominated the game. I guess they have no one to blame but themselves, because they did everything but take advantage of their chances.

USM special teams = horrible.

That blown call on the fumble was a ballbreaker, though.

This is my first time watching either Boise State or Utah play.

I have to say, I don’t see what the big deal is. Most of their players look slow, and undisciplined. Some of the key starters, from wide receivers, to linemen, to defensive backs, and especially the running backs, look small and non-threatening. I think they’re all great athletes, and much stronger and faster than me, but I question whether either team should be ranked. If either team played an SEC team outside of Vandy, would they win? I really can’t say with confidence they’d beat a team like Kentucky, or Tennessee. I think Boise State is clearly the more talented team, mainly due to their quarterback’s superior accuracy, but I still don’t think they’re nearly as good as their ranking suggests.

I agree.

I watched that game early on while it was still really ugly, and neither team looked particularly good. Granted, both programs have beaten good AQ opponents before, so there’s that.

Another bowl game won by a sizable margin tonight.

There’s only been one close one so far. Not the most competitive match ups.

And another one I picked wrongly.

Navy wilted late in the game.

Oh well. These early bowl games are hard to pick since you usually don’t know a lot about the teams involved.
