SEC Deal or No Deal, Update
It was a lot more difficult coming up with these mid-season updates than the preseason offers. Not only are narratives already set and most fans' likely answers already clear, but there is a much smaller set of outcomes with half the games already played. I've added more specific game results and bowl results where applicable (not you, Precious. Go back to the film room.), but I still think I have a better idea of the typical fan's response.
South Carolina: 9-3 (5-3), beat Clemson, beat Florida, beat an Ohio state university in the Capital One Bowl, finish second in the East to Kentucky
Florida: 7-5 (3-5), but defeat 10-1 Florida State, win a minor bowl, Adazzio fired
Kentucky: 8-4 (4-4), win Outback Bowl vs. Wisconsin
Georgia: 7-5 (4-4), beat Florida, Auburn, and Georgia Tech, win Birmingham Bowl
Vanderbilt: 4-8 (2-6), This game is nearly impossible to play with Vanderbilt.
Tennessee: 5-7 (2-6), lose to UK, but beat Vandy and Ole Miss. It warms my heart to see Tennessee looking up at the Commodores in the standings.
Auburn: 11-1 (7-1), Beat Alabama, 2nd in the West, lose Sugar Bowl
LSU: 11-2 (7-2), lose SEC title game to Kentucky or South Carolina, win BCS bowl
Alabama: 10-2 (6-2), beat 11-0 and #1 ranked Auburn, BCS at-large
Arkansas: 9-3 (5-3), win Capital One bowl
Mississippi State: 8-4 (4-4), lose to Ole Miss, Gator Bowl
Ole Miss: 6-6 (3-5), lose to Mississippi State, win Music City Bowl

My take for South Carolina, and guess for other schools:
South Carolina: As I said at the Rubber Chickens, losing to Kentucky lets me know how Mexican soccer fans feel when they lose to the US national team. I couldn’t stand the thought of them winning the East, especially on a turned ankle. A very firm No Deal
Florida: The only thing most Florida fans care about is fixing the offense, and they are ready to endure whatever it takes to get rid of Adazzio, even a losing conference record. Beating Florida State is a bonus. Deal.
Kentucky: I think they feel they can win out. It is tough for me to disagree without a lot of what sounds like sour grapes, so I will just go with No Deal.
Georgia: I really don’t know what the typical Dawgs mindset it about the rest of the year. I know some feel like they’ve turned it around and might win a multi-team tiebreaker to go to Atlanta, and some are wary that the last two games were false indicators of hope against the two worst teams in the conference. I’ll guess that the three rivalry wins are worth the ignominy of the Birmingham Bowl and offer a very cautious Deal.
Vanderbilt: The truth is Vandy would take 3-9, but I could really offer them that as an option. This is an emphatic Deal.
Tennessee: They should take it, but they won’t. A dismissive and arrogant No Deal that will only increase the schadenfreude when they finish 4-8.
Auburn: I’m just trying to get an idea of just how valuable a win over Alabama is, and how much the typical fan has altered their preseason hopes. My guess is a whole lot, and not as much as outsiders think. Deal.
LSU: I just can’t see a team settling for an SEC title game loss from 7-0, especially when there doesn’t appear to be a top 15 team in the East. No Deal.
Alabama: This goes back to the rivalry again. Would the typical Tide fan accept another loss for the chance to ruin Auburn’s dream, then point and laugh? I think so. Deal.
Arkansas: I think the Hogs believe they can win out, though I believe they are much more likely to finish with more than three losses than less. No Deal.
Mississippi State: Another interesting rivalry question for outsiders. Would MSU fans prefer 7-5 and a win over Ole Miss to 8-4 and a loss? No Deal.
Ole Miss: After opening the season with losses to Jacksonville State (Go Gamecocks!) and Vandy, you would think Ole Miss fans would be happy with any bowl victory. I think the loss to State might be a deal breaker though. No Deal.

Hmm...
I’d probably go with deal for South Carolina. That would be a successful season in my book.
Florida: Deal. They see their season as being shot and just want to get rid of Addazzio and get ready for next year.
Kentucky: Deal, at least for the ones who know anything. They’re not going to win out with that defense, and a New Years Day bowl would be a milestone for them.
Vanderbilt: I guess deal? You’re right; hard to play this game with the Commies.
Tennessee: No deal. I think they think they can scrap it out and get into a minor bowl. They’re probably wrong, though.
Auburn: Deal. I guess some of them probably think they’re going to win the national title now, and maybe they will, but the win over Alabama would probably be good enough for them.
LSU: Deal, but I’m not really sure what the mindset of their fanbase is. If I were them, I’d see this kind of season as overachieving.
Alabama: No deal. I think many of their fans believe they should win out and be in the national title mix.
Arkansas: No deal, but, again, I don’t really know their fanbase well. My impression is that they think they can win out and get a shot at a BCS bowl.
MSU: No deal, but again I don’t really know their fanbase well or how much they care about beating Ole Miss.
Ole Miss: Deal. I think they would see this as a decent finish after the way the year started. At least that’s what they should see it as.
Georgia: I suppose this would be deal. Like Florida, I think many of them see the season as being shot and just want to win some games over their rivals on the way out. I could be wrong, though. Some of them are hoping for the rest of the SEC to collapse so they can win the East.
