Happy Saturday, folks. There are several interesting games this afternoon--N.C. State at Clemson, Alabama at LSU, Nebraska at Iowa St., TCU at Utah, etc. Let's talk about them.

Not even worth watching anymore. Stinks. I have no idea how that Vandy defensive back didn’t make a play on that last touchdown pass. He was all over him. He even interfered with the catch. The one thing he didn’t do was look at the ball. He probably would’ve had a pick if he did.

Only 1/4 of the games to be played all day. I hate weekend duties.

If we don’t beat Clemson this year, I will be very angry. Even when they when, they look awful.

Why does Versus exist?

If you are starting a sports network, you have to be able to show something better than Penn/Princeton for college football. Couldn’t they at least get the Mountain West?

You're right ... it used to have some intriguing games

I remeber they did a UVA-Boise game a few years ago, and seemed (if I recally correctly) to carry some Big XII games.

I think they lost out out the musical chairs of CFB conference rights - or just couldn’t afford the ante. I dont think a conference would sign a deal with Versus for fear that some cable providers dont carry it.

I know we are supposed to reflexively hate the ACC even when they do not obviously suck

but I cannot believe how bad that conference looks this year.

I guess North Carolina would have been good with the dozen players they lost, but the conference is just awful. Even my GT friends are happy to build for next year, but they almost won in Blacksburg. Together with the JMU game, I can’t even take the Hokies seriously.
