Don’t follow Basketball much, but it seems like we’ve committed a lot of fouls this season.

We play an aggressive brand of ball.

So the fouls are to be expected. As long as we’re actually producing some turnovers, offensive boards, and blocks, I’m OK with it.

Yeah. I expected him to be more present in the offense this year, though.

We really have no inside presence on offense. I hope either Slawson or Harris turn out better than Muldrow has in that regard.

I’ve never understood why a team who is down by more than one possession late in a game tries to shoot two pointers. They know they’ll have to foul and let the other team shoot free throws. They ought to be shooting three pointers the whole way. It’s like they’re not even trying to think ahead. Every team does it too. Down by six with under a minute to go? Oh, all we need is three two pointers. Oh, wait, the other team gets to shoot free throws. Oops.

Not sure about the Bball team...

But that was a good win. We’re still VERY young, and will have growing pains—but it looks as the SEC is well, the SEC again this year. So, maybe we’ve got a chance. I’ll take that at this point after last year’s disaster (that was totally out of DH’s hands).

Much like the football team, it seems as if this is being built the right way for the long haul. I don’t see the shortcuts being taken as they have in the past. I like our young pieces, in particular Richardson and of course, Ellington.
