Time to put that ugly SECCG behind us and look forward. Steve Spurrier is all about the present, not the past:

"When I was a Gator, we didn't like FSU and they didn't like us," Spurrier said Sunday night during a teleconference announcing the Chick-fil-A Bowl matchup. "But I'm a Gamecock now. I haven't coached for Florida for nine years now, so things have changed a little bit. I don't have anything against Florida State. I've admired the work Coach (Jimbo) Fisher and his staff has done. This is not an animosity game. We're just two teams trying to get that last win to go into the off-season on a big high."

Dominate. USC may be a force to be reckoned with in the SEC East over the next few years. As for this season, I'm content to be competitive. Horn agrees, if not explicitly:

"I think the thing that continues to encourage you about moving forward and looking to the future is that we keep finding ways with different guys," Horn said. "This was a game where we didn't get to play to our strengths for a variety of reasons. For a young team to have to grind it out the way that we did and still find a way to come out on top is really encouraging. All in all, it's a great win for a lot of reasons."
