SEC Hoops Power Poll Ballot: February 21-27
1. Kentucky Wildcats
Despite playing shakily, the Cats maintained their hold on the top spot with a gutsy victory in Memorial.
2. Vanderbilt Commodores
Vandy gave Kentucky a run for their money, but at the end of the day they're still in the second spot.
3. Tennessee Volunteers
The Vols had a nice week, getting revenge over Georgia and taking out South Carolina in Columbia.
4. Florida Gators
The Gators rebounded after a rough stretch to put themselves back in good position to make the NCAAs. You have to admit, though, that there's a MAJOR drop off in the SEC from three to four.
5. Mississippi St. Bulldogs
The Bulldogs still look to be in good position to get in the NCAAs, but they need to play very well down the stretch.
6. Mississippi Rebels
What was once a promising season in Oxford has fallen apart. This team will probably miss the NCAAs barring a miracle run.
7. Arkansas Razorbacks
Same here as Ole Miss. The Hogs had no room for error down the stretch, but they coughed up a bad loss at Auburn yesterday. This is an NIT team barring an SECT run.
8. South Carolina Gamecocks
The Gamecocks desperately need some victories if they even want to play in the NIT. Judgment day at Rupp looms.
9. Georgia Bulldogs
UGA continues to struggle to get above .500 and into postseason contention.
10. Alabama Crimson Tide
Another team that needs some wins down the stretch to get itself into a postseason berth.
11. Auburn Tigers
The Tigers seem to have gone into their annual coach-saving mode, but it may be a little too little, too late for Jeff Lebo.
12. LSU Tigers
The Bayou Bengals continue their inexorable march towards the wrong page of the history books.
