Shawn Elliott coming back to town is bitter sweet. He is a local boy who has shown a great ability to coach in a variety of circumstances. From Appalachian State beating Michigan at the Big House for the biggest upset in football to o line coach at Carolina to head coach at Georgia State.

He obviously can do the job and I was rooting for him to be hired instead of 'chump or Beamer. I want Carolina to win but by a small margin.

The biggest advantage we have in the game is the ability to hire more talented players because we have more money. Any close result proves my point of him being a great choice because Ga State in recent history had its' beginnings in a parking garage in Atlanta.

But the new pro player system will come to bite us I believe against UGA , Ala, Fl and Tn. They have a very well heeled alumni group and passing the hat around so to speak will keep them in the top rung of the game. It will take a couple of years but the top finishers in the league will change quite a bit. The addition of Tx and Ok brings oil money to the table. Ouch! The idea of millionaire Qbs in college is a lot to wrap my head around. We shall soon see how this new system pans out.
