Gamecocks Named 12th Most Valuable CFB Team in 2009
For the second year in a row the South Carolina Gamecocks have been named the twelfth most valuable football team in the nation according to Forbes.com. Not too shabby considering our ever-mediocre play on the field and the hub-bub over the new Yearly Equitable Seating program off of it. In fact, Forbes points to the roll out of the YES program as a reason why we might see USC jump even higher in next year's edition.
The Gamecocks currently sit just behind the mighty Michigan Wolverines. The SEC teams ahead of USC include Alabama(5), Florida(6), LSU(7), and Georgia(9). Tennessee(13), Auburn(14), and Arkansas(17) round out the top 20 for the SEC.
