I think our bats will need to come to play today. I can see Cooper holding Oklahoma off a bit, but they’re a good hitting team. Very good. I doubt we can manage to win this one without scoring four or five runs, at least. I’m going with a 7-5 ’Cocks win.

I haven’t had enough time to research Oklahoma to give an accurate score prediction. I will say that I like us to win this game (big surprise) because our ERA and BAA is a good deal better than Oklahoma’s. I, for one, believe that defense wins championships, so I think it bodes well for us that we have one of the better pitching staffs at the CWS.

Of course the “if” factor here is Bake Cooper’s wrist. I hear it was bruised by a foul ball in the series versus Coastal. He is supposed to be fine, but I still worry what his first start since that happening will be like.

NCAA says Clemson game is moved to 11am tomorrow.

They’re still going to try to get the USC game in tonight. I think in the MLB only 5 innings of play are required. Surely, though, they would not call a game in the CWS. I don’t know the rule, but I would think they would let us finish play tomorrow morning. Maybe not… I dunno.

but that pitch was in oolala land… right down the middle, waist high. Im just happy to see our guys not give up after that demoralizing 8th, as long as we go down like that I cant get upset with them. Look on the bright side, at least we didnt get rolled like Florida and FSU did, we gave fans a BASEBALL game.

yea...

you take Brady’s hit with the bases juiced, 9 times out of 10 thats plating at least 2, if not 3 given the runner at first is quick. We just got hit hard by the baseball gods tonight with a whole bunch of bad luck (2 deep balls that combined for 5-6 feet shy of 3 runs while they get one late, Brady’s 8th knock, and really the delays didnt help much either with having to sit around and let it sink in that were trailing for like 7 hours of delay time). But hey, guess what…

In all honesty...

My initial comment came out of frustration as much as anything else. As you mentioned, not a lot of good things happened to us tonight. All those hits and only three runs to show for it…and one of them was walked in. We were 0-7 with RISP or something like that.
