I think the key top this game...

will be Carolina getting on the board first. If we can do that it will let our guys play loose and put the pressure on Clemson. And as we all know, Clemson isn’t known for playing well under pressure.

After Roth the bullpen gets pretty weak pretty fast. Price isn’t available. Webb did a pretty good job last night, and so did Taylor. We still have Nolan Belcher and Jay Brown, but I don’t think you can just ask a starter to come out of the Bullpen.

I agree.

Someday I will develop a formula to determine how much of a lead Gamecock fans need to feel comfortable each inning. Right now we’ll have to go linear. I need 7 runs per inning left. That means I won’t feel comfortable with the current score until there is one out in the 9th.

His off-speed pitches are now arouns 75mph. I dunno if that’s typical for him or not. I wish I was paying attention earlier in the game. Possible sign of fatigue?

If we manage to win tomorrow night and go on to the championship series

this game has to be looked at…. if not for Roth’s outstanding performance, our bullpen would have been taxed to no end. He could have just handed us the answer we needed to get this thing done AGAIN… now we got 3 quality starters we can throw at Clemson tomorrow plus a well rested bullpen that almost any program would die to have.
