Hi, everyone. Highlighting today's news are the Gamecocks selected in the MLB draft. Here are some relevant headlines:

Gamecock Junior RHP Sam Dyson Selected By Toronto Blue Jays In 4th Round Of 2010 MLB Draft - SOUTH CAROLINA GAMECOCKS.

Whit Merrifield Selected By Kansas City Royals In Ninth Round Of 2010 MLB Draft - SOUTH CAROLINA GAMECOCKS.

Steven Neff and Bobby Haney have also been drafted in the low rounds. There were also, as the last article indicates, several signees drafted, so we'll have to sweat it out and wait to see which ones choose to play college ball and which ones don't. Dyson is almost certainly gone, but all other players with eligibility remaining could very well stay. Par for the course, but always a big issue. Keep your fingers crossed.

Here's the rest of the news:

Hint: this is more or less where I'm going to come down, including on the particular games we'll lose.
