Gamecocks Dot Phil Steele's Preseason All-SEC Team - SOUTH CAROLINA GAMECOCKS. The Gamecocks had nine players recognized by Steele. Included on the first team were Stephon Gilmore and Cliff Matthews. Also surprisingly recognized was Marcus Lattimore, who made the third team.
What I take away from this is that the perception is out there that this will be one of our more talented teams in recent years.
